About Nibley Park Golf Course

Nibley Park is the oldest public golf course in Utah. In 1921 Charles W. Nibley, a Scottish-born Latter-day Saint leader, bought the old Wandamere Park resort grounds and deeded them to Salt Lake City as a Christmas gift, on the condition the city use the land as a golf course or return it to the Nibley family. The nine-hole municipal course opened in May 1922, and the Utah Golf Association honored Nibley posthumously at the course's centennial in 2022.
