Oakmont has hosted a record ten U.S. Opens (1927–2025), more than any other course, plus three PGA Championships, six U.S. Amateurs, and two U.S. Women's Opens. Signature moments include Ben Hogan's 1953 win, Nicklaus beating Palmer in a 1962 playoff, and Johnny Miller's final-round 63 in 1973.
