The Ledges Golf Course

The Ledges of St. George opened in 2005 as the centerpiece of a residential community in the red-rock high desert of southwestern Utah. The par-72 course, which plays to roughly 7,200 yards, was designed by Matt Dye, a member of the renowned Dye golf-design family. It was one of his last completed projects; he died three years later at age 48. Dye routed the holes through terrain that was already dramatic, working with the region's signature crimson stone formations, elevation changes, and long-range mountain views rather than against them. The result is a target-style desert layout with generous corridors framed by native rock and scrub, offering a strong contrast to the manicured resort courses more common in the St. George area and rewarding players who can flight the ball across the exposed, wind-prone landscape.
