About Arthur B. Sim Golf Course

Arthur B. Sim Golf Course, known locally as Sim Park, sits on land the City of Wichita acquired in 1917 after Coler L. Sim donated it in memory of his son Arthur. Visit Wichita lists it as opened in 1919 to a Morris Richard Perkins design and calls it the oldest of Wichita's four public courses; other guides report nine holes in 1921, expanded to 18 in 1923. Stone tee shelters attributed to the New Deal-era National Youth Administration were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. It remains a City of Wichita municipal course.
