About Auburn Golf Course
Auburn Golf Course began in the 1940s as the nine-hole Green River Golf & Country Club, described as the first publicly accessible nine-hole course in south King County, on land once used for hops and later part of the Isaac Evans farm. The City of Auburn bought the property in the late 1960s and added adjacent former state land to expand it to 18 holes, creating the course's unusual dual-elevation section. It reopened in 1970 as the Auburn Municipal Golf Course, and a new clubhouse was built in 2007.
