Sahalee opened in 1969, a Ted Robinson design framed by towering evergreens on a plateau east of Seattle. It hosted the 1998 PGA Championship (Vijay Singh's first major) and the 2010 U.S. Senior Open (Bernhard Langer), plus the 2002 NEC Invitational and the 2016 KPMG Women's PGA (Brooke Henderson). Its tree-lined corridors are its defining challenge.
