About Bobby Nichols Golf Course

This 9-hole Louisville Metro Parks municipal course opened in 1963 in Waverly Park on the city's southwest side. It is named for Louisville native and PGA professional Bobby Nichols, who won the 1964 PGA Championship with a record 271, three shots ahead of Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. It remains a public, city-operated course.
