Bright Grandview Golf Course

Bright Grandview began in 1902 as a nine-hole city course designed by Warren Dickinson, and by the spring of 1911 it had been expanded and redesigned into an 18-hole layout. In October 1933 the park board approved purchasing additional land east of the course through a 15-year lease, enabling further expansion driven partly by the growth of adjacent Hubbell Avenue. A municipal course owned by the City of Des Moines in Grandview Park, this shorter 'golden age' design is known for tree-lined fairways and domed greens.
