About Dub's Dread Golf Club

A public course in Kansas City, Kansas designed by Harold "Jug" McSpaden, the PGA champion and "Gold Dust Twin" of Byron Nelson, in the early 1960s. Originally built at 8,101 yards, it was for a time listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest golf course in the world, though it has since been shortened. Its championship pedigree was cemented on August 12, 1968, when McSpaden and Byron Nelson played an exhibition match against Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus at the course.
