About Foster Golf Links

Foster Golf Links opened on February 13, 1925 on the Duwamish River, built by English-born golf pro George H. Eddy on part of the Foster homestead; Governor Louis F. Hart hit the first tee shot. It began with nine holes, the old Foster farmhouse served as clubhouse, and Eddy added the second nine in 1927. The course survived the Depression and the 1933 Duwamish flood. Eddy's son sold it in 1951, and the City of Tukwila bought it in 1978. It is now a municipal course.
