About Lakeside Golf Course

Lakeside is a city-run 18-hole municipal course on Lexington's east side. It opened in July 1970 on roughly 185 acres beside Jacobson Park and Jacobson Lake, on land the city leased from the Kentucky American Water Company in March 1968. The par-72 layout plays to about 7,067 yards and features large greens, rolling terrain and a par 5 of more than 600 yards that the city bills as the longest in the state.
