Meadowbrook Golf Course

Meadowbrook is one of Lexington's five city-owned golf courses and the city's only short course. Its 18 holes on Wilson Downing Road range from 87 to 270 yards and play to a par of 55, walking only, in about two hours. Long billed locally as Lexington's oldest short course, it serves as an entry point to the game for juniors, beginners and players working on their irons. Directories date its opening to the mid-to-late 1960s, but the exact year is not confirmed by the city.
