About Minor Park Golf Course

A Kansas City, Missouri municipal 18-hole course designed by Larry W. Flatt. The land came from the farm of Thor Sanborn, whose wife willed roughly 200 acres to the City as a park to be named for her father, Dr. William E. Minor, a Kansas City surgeon; the City took possession on September 1, 1956. Work on the course began in 1965 and it was dedicated in June 1967. The tree-lined layout plays about 5,668 yards and is known as an easy-walking course for all skill levels.
