Prairie Trails Golf Course

Prairie Trails in El Dorado began as a nine-hole course known as the El Dorado Country Club (listings variously give the 1920s, 1938 or 1952, so the exact opening is unclear). A back nine opened in June 2000, and the club became Prairie Trails Golf and Country Club in 2001. The City of El Dorado bought it in November 2011, making it a public course; after a planned 2020 sale to GreatLife fell through, the city resumed operating it directly on May 1, 2020.
