Soldier Hollow Golf Course

Soldier Hollow Golf Course opened in 2004 inside Wasatch Mountain State Park in Midway, Utah, a 36-hole public complex designed by Gene Bates. Its two courses, the Gold and the Silver, take their names from the site's Olympic heritage: the adjacent Soldier Hollow venue hosted cross-country skiing and biathlon at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games, making this the rare golf course built on Olympic grounds. The layouts use native Utah grasses and sit high in the Heber Valley, ringed by mountains, with the longer Gold course counting among the state's more substantial tests. As a state-park facility it offers big-mountain scenery and championship length at accessible public rates, a combination that has made it a Wasatch-region favorite.
