About Tex Consolver Golf Course

Tex Consolver Golf Course is a City of Wichita municipal course in west Wichita, designed by Bob Dunning and originally called Pawnee Prairie Golf Course. The City Council voted on December 21, 1999 to rename it for Beal 'Tex' Consolver (1914-1999), a PGA professional known as 'Mr. Golf' in Wichita who served as head pro at several city courses from 1938 to 1973. The renaming was dedicated on June 6, 2000. At 7,361 yards it is the longest of the city's public courses.
