The Golf Club at Yankee Trace

The Golf Club at Yankee Trace is a municipal facility owned by the City of Centerville, just south of Dayton. Architect Gene Bates designed the original 18-hole Championship course, which opened in the spring of 1995 and quickly drew praise, earning a 4.5-star rating from Golf Digest. In 2002, Bates returned to add nine more holes, the Vintage course, expanding Yankee Trace into a 27-hole complex. The layout moves through wetlands, mature trees and rolling terrain, offering a country-club feel at public-course prices. For years it has been a fixture atop Dayton-area golf rankings and is frequently cited among the better municipal courses in Ohio. With a full practice range and clubhouse, Yankee Trace has become a hub for tournaments, outings and everyday public play across the Miami Valley.
