Troy Burne Golf Club

Troy Burne opened in June 1999 as the vision of Glenn Rehbein, who scouted this rolling stretch of the St. Croix Valley in 1996 hoping to build the Upper Midwest's premier upscale daily-fee club. He assembled a strong design team: the architecture firm of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry working alongside PGA Tour player Tom Lehman, whose worldwide competitive experience shaped a layout meant to be, in the club's words, "fair as well as challenging." Sculpted from western Wisconsin's native hills roughly a half-hour east of the Twin Cities, the course threads bentgrass fairways past more than 120 bunkers, prairie grasses and firm, contoured greens that reward precise shotmaking. The design's environmental stewardship and championship character have made it a fixture among the region's top public courses.
