Wooster Country Club

Wooster Country Club opened in 1903 as a nine-hole course in Wooster, Ohio, making it one of the older golf clubs in the state. A second nine was added in 1974, giving the club a full eighteen holes. The layout runs across rolling, hilly terrain, and a creek threads through the property, coming into play on several holes and adding both strategic interest and scenery. Today the private club plays to a par of 72 at roughly 6,545 yards, kept in bentgrass from tee to green, and operates seasonally through the Ohio golf year. Members and guests know it for firm, well-kept conditions and a genuinely challenging test despite its modest length.
