About Brookwood Golf Club

Brookwood Golf Club on Bluffton Road in Fort Wayne's Waynedale area opened in 1925 and is now a public 18-hole course. A creek winds through its rolling layout. In 1992 Brookwood hosted the Ben Hogan Fort Wayne Open, a stop on the developmental tour that became today's Korn Ferry Tour. Russell Beiersdorf won it in a playoff over Chris T. Anderson at 16 under. Today the course is known locally for its annual "Chili Bowl," a scramble played backwards from green to tee.
