Dalhousie Golf Club

Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau, MO, opened in 2002 and holds a distinctive place in golf design history as one of the earliest solo credits for Gary Nicklaus, working under the Nicklaus Design banner. Routed across an exceptional piece of rolling, wooded terrain with mature old-growth forest and natural water features, the private club drew immediate national attention, earning recognition from Golf Digest as one of the country's top new private courses and the only such honoree in the Midwest at the time. The design blends Alister MacKenzie-inspired fairway bunkering with the greenside shaping associated with the Nicklaus family, its patterns influenced by Jack Nicklaus's own Bear's Club in Florida. The full facility spans 27 holes, complemented by a large clubhouse and an expansive practice area, and remains one of southeast Missouri's finest golf experiences.
