Deer Park traces its founding to 1904, according to the City of Oglesby. The 18-hole public course covers about 110 acres next to Matthiessen State Park in Starved Rock Country. Formerly Deer Park Country Club, it was sold in late 2015 to the owners of Senica's Oak Ridge Golf Club in La Salle.
