Fox Hills began in 1927 as the private Plymouth Country Club, with its original 18 holes credited to Wilfrid Reid. It became Fox Hills Country Club in 1958. Nine holes were added in 1983, the Arthur Hills-designed Golden Fox opened in 1989, and Ray Hearn's par-3 Strategic Fox followed in 2001. Heritage Golf Group bought the property in July 2022.
