About Ironhorse Golf Club

Ironhorse Golf Club in Leawood opened in 1995 and was designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan. The course is owned by the City of Leawood and operated by Troon Golf, and is named for an abandoned railroad right-of-way that ran through the property. Golf Digest ranked it the top public course in Kansas after it opened and named it one of the Best New Courses in 1996; it was renovated in 2008 and remained a top-ranked Kansas public course into the 2020s.
