About Key Colony Beach Golf

Developer Phil Sadowski, who was building the city of Key Colony Beach, began constructing a golf course in 1957; it opened around January 1959 as an 18-hole par-54 layout. The course was reduced to 9 holes around 1968, and about 1980 it was reconfigured by Wayne Spano into its present 9-hole par-3 (par 27, ~962 yards) public course in the Florida Keys.
