Gator Creek Golf Club was established in April 1972 as a private, walk-only club on roughly 230 forested acres in Sarasota, with an original 18-hole layout by Joe Lee. Architect Ron Garl later refined the course — sharpening green surrounds and sightlines rather than a dramatic redesign — preserving its traditional character.
