About Osceola Municipal Golf Course

Osceola Golf Course is a municipal course owned by the City of Pensacola and the city's oldest, opening in 1926. Interest began in 1924, and in May 1925 local businessmen George P. Wentworth and Hunter Brown donated 100 acres for it. The course was designed by 1920s PGA star William 'Wild Bill' Mehlhorn while he served as the professional at Pensacola Country Club, and it was renovated in 2011 with new greens and a practice facility.
