Pine Hills was created in 1957 by a group of local investors in Hinckley, in the hills south of Cleveland. The design is credited to Harold "Pappy" Paddock, part of the Paddock family whose name is attached to several northeast Ohio courses. It remains a public 18-hole course with a golf school.
