The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County rebuilt the former Oak Meadows Golf Course, a flood-prone 27-hole facility along Salt Creek, into an 18-hole course, restoring the creek through the 288-acre property. Construction began in 2015; a preview season opened in August 2017 and the grand opening followed in April 2018.
