Quail Valley was founded in 2000 by Steve Mulvey and Kevin Given with roughly 30 founding members. Its 18-hole championship golf course, set on a former citrus grove in Vero Beach, was designed by Nick Price with Tom Fazio II and opened in 2001. The in-town River Club and The Pointe are the membership club's separate social and dining facilities (no golf course of their own).
