Queenstown Harbor

Queenstown Harbor Golf Links sits on Maryland's Eastern Shore where the Chester River empties into the Chesapeake Bay, about an hour east of the Bay Bridge. Architect Lindsay Ervin designed the River Course, which opened in 1991, routing several dramatic holes directly along the tidal river's edge; the layout stretches past 7,000 yards from the back tees. A second eighteen, the Lakes Course, followed later in the decade, giving the property two distinct championship tracks. The land carries deep history, tracing to a seventeenth-century grant from Cecil Calvert, the second Lord Baltimore, and artifacts surfaced during construction. Certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, Queenstown Harbor blends waterfront scenery with environmental stewardship, and its River Course remains one of the region's most celebrated public daily-fee experiences.
