About Ridgewood Golf Course

Ridgewood in Parma is a municipal course owned by the City of Parma. Construction began in 1924 and it officially opened July 4, 1925, designed by Grange "Sandy" Alves, an early Donald Ross foreman. It hosted the 1927 USGA Public Links Championship, won by Carl Kauffman of Pittsburgh. Its alumni include Chris Wollmann, the 1995 National Public Links champion who reached the 1996 Masters, and LPGA winner Barb Mucha.
