Scepter Golf Club opened in 2005 as the newest of Sun City Center's three courses. Florida architect Chip Powell, who had earlier designed Club Renaissance, laid it out as a members' course with five sets of tees, routed through neighboring residential communities and natural habitat. It is part of the ClubLink group.
