Shingle Creek Golf Club

Shingle Creek Golf Club opened in 2003 as a par-72 layout designed by David Harman, part of the Rosen Shingle Creek resort near Orlando's Orange County Convention Center. In spring 2016 the resort's ownership brought in the Arnold Palmer Design Company and senior architect Thad Layton, whose firm was based nearby. What began as a plan to add three new holes on land north of the property grew into a full redesign. The course closed and reopened December 1, 2016, with all 18 greens rebuilt for added undulation and new TifEagle turf, freshly flashed bunkers, and reworked holes, including a converted 610-yard par-5 eighth. The renovated course plays roughly 7,200 yards from the tips and is threaded by its namesake Shingle Creek, headwaters of the Everglades.
