Silver Lake is widely cited as the first executive (par-3 style) course built in The Villages, opening in 1987 as part of what became The Villages Executive Golf Trail. The 9-hole layout plays to a par of 29 and is notable for having no sand bunkers on any of its nine holes. It sits off Rainbow Blvd in the older north end of the community.
