About Suntree Country Club
Suntree Country Club in Melbourne was established in 1975 as a private, member-owned, 36-hole facility. The Classic course opened in 1975 and was an early site on the PGA Senior Tour; its original design is variously attributed (commonly to Robert Trent Jones Sr., with some sources crediting Ed Rider and Richard LaConte). The second course, the Challenge, opened in 1989 and was designed by Arnold Palmer.
