The Club At Bella Collina

The Club at Bella Collina anchors a guard-gated, Tuscan-themed community set across more than 1,900 acres of unusually rolling Central Florida terrain near Lake Apopka. The 18-hole championship layout opened in 2008 as a collaboration between six-time major winner Nick Faldo and architect Steve Smyers. Drawing on the site's dramatic elevation changes, the designers routed a valley-style course with open fairways, sweeping dunes and long views across the hillsides, forest and vineyards. A former limestone quarry was incorporated into the design, with portions of two holes playing around it. Stretching past 7,500 yards from the championship tees, the course is regularly ranked among Florida's more distinctive private layouts, prized as much for its hilly, non-typical Florida topography as for its Old World clubhouse and estate-home setting.
