The Club at Sonterra in north San Antonio is a private club with two 18-hole championship courses. The South Course is the original, a Press Maxwell design opened in 1954 that meanders among acres of large oaks with heavily tree-lined fairways. The North Course, by Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge, opened in 1985 across rolling hills with waterfalls built into the terrain.
