Grey Rock Golf Club

Grey Rock Golf Club sits in southwest Austin near the Circle C Ranch community, carved through more than 160 acres of live oaks, cedar, and rolling Hill Country terrain. It opened in the early 1990s as Circle C Golf Club during central Texas's golf-building boom, the work of architect Jay Morrish, a longtime Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf collaborator, with Austin designer Roy Bechtol also credited on the project. The par-72 layout plays to roughly 6,900 yards, with generous, tree-lined fairways, sizable bunkers, and gentle elevation changes rather than severe drops. Later rebranded Grey Rock, the daily-fee course became a popular public option on Austin's south side and has drawn conditioning and clubhouse investment to keep it on the comeback trail. Its blend of mature oaks and open, playable corridors gives it a relaxed, distinctly Texan character.
