Why we love this place

We love Oak Valley for keeping golf simple and open late. A lighted nine-hole par-3 course and range on the edge of the Hill Country, it is the perfect place to sharpen wedges after work or give a kid their first real round.

About Oak Valley Golf Course

Oak Valley Golf Course is a lighted nine-hole par-3 course and driving range on Bandera Road in Helotes, on the northwest edge of San Antonio where the city gives way to the Hill Country. Formerly known as Oak Valley Driving Range & Par 3, it was designed by Adam Morales; listings give 1987 as the year it was built, though some date its opening to 1989. The par-27 layout measures just over 1,000 yards from the back tees and 810 from the front, with Bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens, and it is open year-round. Because both the course and the range are lit, it serves as an after-work practice ground and a friendly first course for beginners, juniors and families, with green fees among the lowest in the San Antonio area.
