Troon North Golf Club

Troon North helped make north Scottsdale a global desert-golf destination. The Monument Course, designed by the acclaimed team of Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, opened in 1990 as the club's first layout and takes its name from a massive granite boulder standing beside one of its early fairways. The design threads through boulder outcroppings, saguaro stands, and natural desert washes, showcasing the target-golf style that came to define the region. Demand for the Monument's high-desert experience led to a second Weiskopf-Morrish course, the Pinnacle, which debuted in 1995. In 2007, Weiskopf returned to lead a significant renovation, during which the front nines of the two courses were exchanged and holes resequenced. Consistently ranked among the top public-access courses in Arizona, Troon North remains a benchmark for how thoughtfully desert terrain can be turned into memorable golf.
