About Foothills Golf Club (Phoenix)
The Foothills Golf Club is a public, par-72 course of close to 7,000 yards set in the ridges and buttes below South Mountain in Phoenix's Ahwatukee neighborhood (2201 E Clubhouse Dr.). It opened in 1987; one listing dates it to 1988. The design came from Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, the partnership behind Troon North, and the layout plays as a links-style desert course with about 65 bunkers. Troon now manages the club.
