About Prairie Lakes Golf Course - White/Blue

Prairie Lakes Golf Course is a City of Grand Prairie municipal facility on Mountain Creek Lake, about 17 miles southwest of Dallas. The original Blue and White nines were designed by Ralph Plummer and date to 1963. A third nine, the Red course, was added in 2005 by architect John Colligan, who also renovated the Blue nine in 2006, making it a 27-hole facility where golfers combine any two nines for an 18-hole round. Water is a defining feature across all three nines. The club says all 27 holes were recently renovated, with hybrid Bermuda fairways lined by mature mesquite trees, Bermuda greens, and what it calls Texas's largest practice area, with eight target greens and a fairway.
