About Ridgewood Country Club

Ridgewood Country Club is a private club in Waco that first opened for play in 1947, designed by native Texas golf course architect Ralph Plummer. In the early 1960s the expansion of Lake Waco forced a complete redesign, which Plummer also executed; the reworked course opened in June 1963 and was praised as among the most scenic in the Southwest. The course underwent a renovation led by architect Tripp Davis in 2023 focused on greens, bunkers and drainage.
