About Dallas Athletic Club
Dallas Athletic Club is a private club with two 18-hole courses, the Blue and the Gold, both originally designed by Ralph Plummer. The Blue Course, built in 1954, hosted the 1963 PGA Championship, where Jack Nicklaus captured his first PGA Championship title. Nicklaus substantially renovated the Blue Course in the mid-1980s, adding mounding and bentgrass greens, with further updates by Chet Williams in 2015; Plummer also designed the companion Gold Course, later redesigned by Nicklaus.
