About The Links at Overton Park

The Links at Overton Park is a nine-hole City of Memphis municipal course built in 1906 inside historic Overton Park (laid out by landscape architect George Kessler), and is widely described as the oldest continuously operating municipal golf course in the United States. As one of the city's whites-only public courses under segregation, it was among those ordered desegregated after the U.S. Supreme Court's 1963 decision in Watson v. City of Memphis. The King-Collins firm renovated the course, which reopened in 2022.
