About The Prairies Golf Club

The Prairies Golf Club in Kalamazoo dates to 1912, originally known as Maple Hills Country Club. It reportedly went bankrupt during the Great Depression, and Elks Lodge 50 of Kalamazoo bought and reopened it in 1944; the Elks still own it and the course is open to the public. No original architect could be verified.
