About Washtenaw Golf Club

Washtenaw Golf Club dates to 1899 and calls itself Michigan's third-oldest golf course; play began with tomato cans set in a hay field west of Ypsilanti. GolfPass credits Bert Way (1899) and John Sweeney (1922), with a later restoration guided by Ray Hearn. Private for most of its history, it opened to the public after a 2019 ownership change.
