In 1972 Tennessee State Parks commissioned Joe Lee to design an 18-hole course at Fall Creek Falls State Park. In 1998 the greens were rebuilt to Lee's original plans and drainage was improved in all 71 bunkers. The course is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
