About Twin Oaks Golf Course
Twin Oaks Golf Club has served the Statesville / Iredell County, NC area since 1961, when it opened as a nine-hole course and driving range. It was later expanded to a full 18-hole, par-72 layout of about 6,368 yards on rolling terrain with several water hazards. In 1980 Herm Worsham — brother of 1947 U.S. Open champion Lew Worsham — took over as club pro and manager. It remains an old-school public course popular with local amateurs; no designer is documented.
